The ONLY reason I didn’t give it a 5 star review is that the brush head comes packed tightly in a box that is too small for it and the head is so misshapen that there’s no way it ever will be round again.Aside of that, it did the trick, beautifully.I read all the reviews, including the horror stories and they helped make it very easy to make sure I wouldn’t repeat those mistakes.I ripped the box open the moment it arrived and within a couple of minutes, the vent cleaner was in my wall.Assembly is a breeze. Because of the negative reviews, I made sure to put the monkey on these so that the would not loosen, while in use. I also made very certain not to put the drill into reverse. It’s nice to know that all you need to do is feed it in and pull it out, all while the drill is in forward.I got the 30 foot kit and soon discovered that you can only add sections, a few at a time. Any more than that and it wants to twist into a knot. NO BIGGIE. Just add a couple sections, feed it in, add a couple more, feed it in and so on….Before I knew it, I had reached an obstruction. I went outside to check and discovered a LOT of lint, packed into the exterior vent. After removing it and finding a couple of walnuts, I knew I had discovered the root of the problem.I went back at it until I found the obstruction again, only this time, the obstruction was the vent cover. BOOM! problem solved. I pulled the brush back out NEVER PUTTING THR DRILL IN REVERSE. I got very little extra lint at this point so I disassembled the brush and put it away.Because of the walnuts, I made my own “critter guard” out of some wire mesh fencing I had laying around and chances are pretty good that I will not have to repeat this process.Note:Run your dryer again before installing any critter guards so you don’t have to remove them in order to clean out the last of the lint that you loosened during cleaning. If you’ve read this far, good for you. You’ll find this kit the perfect tool for cleaning your long dryer vent hoses and you should be able to do it without issue. After you finish the task, you might just reward yourself with an adult beverage. Cheers!I love this product the first time I sent it into the vent it worked great. When my kids took over to help, the brush didn't come back out!! The tape had gotten snagged on the vent line somewhere and now it is living in my vent. I am hopeful that I will be able to get it out somehow!! My LG dryer is top of the line, it tells me when my vent is blocked with an error D90 or D95. I moved into my new home and the vent was 100% blocked with Georgia Mud, and massive amounts of lint from years and years of use. My home inspector said he looked in the line (you can only see 6" of the line) and called it good. Without checking it, he charged me $700 to do the inspection! Needless to say my dryer is working great now that I applied mom power to the line, plus kid power!! Replies be nice, I was watching my kids. Thanks!I had my doubts. But I gave it a try. WOW! It really works! Takes a few minutes to screw all the sections together as you feed it up the vent. Tons of lint came out. Who knew it was so dirty! Definitely cost efficient vs calling a vent cleaner and you own it. In a year, I'll do it again. You might need a pair of pliers to gently unscrew a section or two after it spins around. It all fits back into the package for easy storage Buy it!Totally got the job done. One thing that caught me off guard is it did not come with a drill bit adapter. I thought about sending it back but figured I’d try it out any. Glad I did. Just stick it in the drill and it’ll work just fine! This thing stuffed all the lint together. My dryer operated WORSE after using it.Used a leaf blower and it came right out.I'm assuming the previous home owners never cleaned their vents, so my review would probably be a 5 if my vent wasn't so bad. I wish the 'tip' had bristles or something to help bust up bad clogs. The bristles started getting tangled as well, but it'll still work. Wish I took pictures, can't believe my house didn't start on fire! This vent cleaner worked great! Our laundry room does not have an outside wall to vent the air, so the dryer vent goes up inside the wall to attic and then out. Removed the flexible duct from dryer, reached my hand up in the wall duct and grabbed as much lint as possible but still felt there was more lint remaining. Easily screwed together about 16 feet of the flexible rods, attached the brush at one end and my cordless drill on the other and pushed up and down in the vent while slowly rotating with the drill. Amazing how much lint this thing removed! Enough to be a future fire hazard. Glad I purchased this.Fácil de usar muy resistenteI couldn’t believe how much lint was stuck in the dryer hose. I cleaned mine, my neighbour’s and my friends and they all were full of lint.Did the job wonderfull for the price.Just don't stay still / always move foward or backward or you may damage it prematurely ( picture)This could be a great little brush if it didn’t fall apart the first time I used in within 30 secondsDidn’t like it
