I first bought a Clark Bushacre Chelsea blog at a show warehouse as an everyday work boot. I really liked it so I checked online to see if I got a good price and it was same. I needed a new show for church so I was looking at these Clark's Paulson Up Chelsea boot in Mahogany. It was a good price so I pulled the trigger and ordered a Mahogany belt to match. I got the boots today and they are beautiful. Now that's a word I normally save for just my wife, but they are soft and I just put them on and the fit and feel is incredible. I automatically order new Spenco insoles with new shoes. I put one in and the other without. Well, I took it back out cause there's tell so good. I went straight to my tablet to start writing this review, but first checked the other colors. The Taupe Suade was on sale in same size for $62 so they are bought. Looking forward to kicking around in those.1. Everyday work boot. Clark Bushacre Chelsea2. Church and dress up. Clark Paulson Up Chelsea Mahagony3. Kick around, dinner and date nights. Clark Paulson Up Chelsea Taupe SuadeIt is awesome to find something you like that can fill the total bill. I wear Croc loafers during the warm months and now have my boots for the cooler weather.Drop Mic Time.Happily Submitted by John FoglemanI like the fit and color of the boot, however I thought I was getting a brand new boot. It seems to be a display shoe, heel slightly worn and outter edges worn but middle of sole seems fine. Would not recommend buying from this seller, debating if I should return because I purchased them at a decent price.I got these for a steal by comparison. The value is always there with Clark’s boots. I needed a slick shoe for work and since I already use Clark’s dress shoes I thought this would be a lateral move and expected it to be a bit tight/narrow as my previous experience required breaking in. I normally would ignore posting a review but I gotta admit this is one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever wore. From day one it fit like a glove. The only complaint I have is (I work at a museum with polished floors) and the boots squeeked constantly like a herd of ducks for the first couple of weeks. The soles have softened and the squeak is gone. But the comfort is wild. It’s my go-to for work until I find something better.I love Clarks. I literally have owned probably over 20 pairs of Clark’s. Dress shoes, desert boots, and Chelsea boots. The tan suede version of the Paulson boots are the first Clarks I ever returned and didn’t love. I’m usually a size 9 in Clarks, and even own the black version in the Paulson style - so, I know my Clarks sizing. The tan suede style’s left foot was half an inch bigger than the right foot. Also, hopefully you can tell from the pictures, but the opening of the boot sticks out a bit too much for liking (compare with the black Paulson). All in all, I really wanted to love these Chelsea boots but I had to return ‘em. The stock being sold on Amazon may be from manufacturing mishaps or something but this bootie didn’t hold up to the Clarks quality I’m used to. I also think suede Chelsea boots are going out of style now. Anyways, if you’re getting anything other than the black style, hard no.These size 10s fit perfect. The break-in time is minimal. I normally wear a size 9.5 shoe but I ordered up a half size to accommodate the mid-weight socks I wear with boots. It was a good decision. The only con is the loop in the back of the boot. It is too small to insert your finger.Update. or edit here. I have had these boots now for a while. Only use as a dress boot . These are of course real leather. Great boots that give you that look . I ware a size 8,1/2, That's US size in Nike running shoes. The first pair was a miss at eight and a half. A sloppy fit but I had no trouble with a fast replacement. Downsized to a 7,1/2. The new boots were delivered fast. This pair fit just right Five stars ...works here but watch for the sizing part. These look and feel like a more honest long-lasting boot. Overall a really good buy. Real leather, soft heel, comfortable inside. Because I Don't wear them a lot and I don't miss treat my stuff ...these still look great. A sharp pair and they really look more costly.I've always thought the hoop in the back of boots is ugly, but I've never torn it off because I use it to pull on the boot.Such a hoop is necessary on a slip-on boot like this without a zipper or laces.2 stars instead of 5 stars because the hoop is so small, I had to find a thick metal hanger to hook into it.Using the hanger, I pulled the boot onto my foot.If you don't mind using a hook of some kind every time you put your boots on, then get these boots. As for me, I often put my boots after I'm in the car. These are my dress shoes, so I put them on only after I'm in the car, to prevent them getting wet or dirty. Also a more comfortable drive. Now, if I keep these boots, I need to figure out what sort of hook device I'll keep in my car just so I can put my boots on (while seated in the car).Even if you always put on your boots at home, how are you gonna do it?Any tips? What does everyone here use as a hook?Just writing this I'm realizing I should just return these. Why keep boots that need such a device? just to put them on.One of the features I like about this style of slip-on boot is that it's CONVENIENT.Just slip on your boots and you're ready. Takes two seconds. For my old boots it took two seconds to slip into them.It took me a full minute to pull these boots on.What I like most about Clarks shoes, is that in my experience, their sizing has always been consistent -- which is of immense help when buying shoes online. I am happy to say that these Clarks are no exception to that experience. The fit is spot on, and the look is just as pictured. They're even glossier looking than I expected, being more a chukka boot customer, and as such, they are a bit dressier than I typically go for -- but with a little wear, we all know that'll sort itself out! :)And as always, these Clarks are a great value for a very comfortable, but not overtly fancy shoe. Just the way I like it. Highly recommended, especially for those endowed with slightly wide feet.Great boots, shop very helpful with advice on the sizes .Very quick delivery .Great quality for the price. Clarks remains a trustworthy brand. Good leather and very comfortable. As many other shoes in the same price range, the sole is cemented and not sewn. You may want to be aware that the thread that is used to mimic a Goodyear welt is contrast color (light grey). Which somebody may not like. I am not a fan of it myself, still I think that a couple of coats of black polish will do the job.Really comfortable. Good quality boots and they look great. Would definitely recommend. I’d say they fit a little on the large side. With slightly thicker socks they’re especially comfortable. The fit is surprisingly perfect! Super comfortable and they look great. But, I am taking away two stars as the sole of the shoe is noisy. They make a very annoying loud squishy sound while walking on linoleum that I can’t stand. I will see if there are pads that I can put on it that could dampen the sound .Since Blundstone now makes all their shoes in virtually the same countries ans Clarks's and the rest I decided to try other brands. Found these to be comparable in quality to the Blundstones for 1/2 the price.
