These hair-removal brushes work just the way I hoped they would.I've had several of this type of brush in the past. Some work great (nice stiff angled bristles that really catch and hold a lot of cat and dog hair) and some don't work as well because their bristles are too flimsy, and they fold over too easily, allowing the hair to remain.These, fortunately, turned out to be the good, stiff-bristled type, and pick up the lint and hair well.I prefer these greatly over the sticky roller type units because they cost nothing to operate and don't "run out" of sticky paper. They pretty much have an unlimited life.Rub the brush over the area to be cleaned, letting it pick up the lint until it's clogged, then lick your thumb and rub it the opposite direction to pull all of the lint/hair off to be discarded. Fast, easy, quite effective.When you have a lot of cats or dogs, these brushes are just the ticket. And with a six-pack, you can scatter them around so there's always one handy when you need it.I have 2 keeshonden family members, --the BFFs. They do shed a LOT and I do mean a LOT. These lint brushes are very effective for removing the fur from my work clothes. If only vacuum cleaners were as effective as these brushes!!!They do wear out, --at least they do for me and the dogs. I use them to clean clothes, furniture, the cars, and everywhere the dogs go. You can't go wrong with these. One brush lasts somewhere between 4 to 6 months of daily use. -- by daily use, I mean giving it a good workout on clothes and furniture. Your mileage may differ.....If I could get these in a 12 pack I would.I had bought these before as a single unit and it was great. I had one of the 6 fall apart the first time I used it. So far the other two that I am currently using are holding out. They are great for taking cat hair off upholstered furniture, pillows, clothes, etc. I may have just gotten a "bad apple" out of the six. It still is a good productI've been using these Evercare Magik Lint Brushes for years. They are the ONLY easy-to-use lint brushes that really do what they promise: get the hair (from two cats and two long-haired dogs) off the upholstered furniture. Use the brush as directed and you will be tickled pink with it.Even though one of these brushes lasts for years, I bought a 6-pack just in case. We may never need them all, but if we do--we have a little stash.It's a great product and I would never buy anything else of its kind.We have 2 cats, so we needed these. Some of them are falling apart after barely any use. But I guess that's the way it goes. They are nicer than any others that I have found.I go through lint brushes rather quickly as I have two cats that I love dearly, but do not like the hair they leave all over the place. I purchased a pack of six and everyone of them after two or three strokes came apart and were unusable. I waited too long to return them, so I ended up with the loss (my own fault). Am contemplating whether to try again or not, as it could have been a defective batch and good lint brushes are hard to find. Needless to say, I was most unhappy!Cleans lint and pet hair up very nicely. I keep one in the house, one in the car, and one at work for touch ups as needed. Not sure why disposable sticky rolls became more popular than lint brushes...Have 6 long haired cats and have several of these in each room, tucked here and there. ONLY thing on the market that efficently cleans living room furniture, bedspreads, etc. I had been buying them at Target, then...... they only carried those crappy rollers that do not remove hair IN the furniture, only ON. So please Evercare, do not stop making these. They have not disappointed in 12 or more years
